| The Harrison Fire Department mourns the loss of Matt Russo, a respected and longtime member who recently passed away.
Matt Russo will be remembered and honored for his devoted service as Past President of the Harrison Fire Department, dedicated leader of the Exempts Association, and loyal member of the Hook & Ladder Company for 43 years. He was also a Licensed Practical Nurse, using his medical expertise to care for others, provide guidance, and offer compassion. Prior to joining the firehouse, he earned a culinary degree and later served as a talented cook and chef at the firehouse.
Throughout his career, Russo took on many roles, demonstrating generosity and deep dedication to the Harrison community. He was also known for his strong devotion to his family, including his many nieces and nephews.
His passion for the fire service, antiques, and his love of showcasing antique fire trucks will always be cherished by the department and community.
Matt Russo's legacy of service and commitment will endure. The department extends its condolences to his family and loved ones. |
